Notting Hill is an ideal spot to spend your Sunday in London. It is home to cute shops, a cool street market in Portobello, and most importantly, the best brunch places! Here are three of our favorites:
This Australian restaurant is probably most well-known in Notting Hill, but it also has two other locations – King’s Cross and Clerkenwell. They don’t take bookings, so you will have to go and endure the long line. On Sundays, it’s best to go either quite early or late in the afternoon, but during the week it’s a bit quieter. Expect delicious, fairly healthy food ranging from brown rice bowls to shrimp burgers. Always add grilled Halloumi - it makes anything taste better! The most famous item on the menu is undoubtedly the hot ricotta pancakes – fluffy and not to sweet. The place is always packed, and the atmosphere makes you feel like you’re on vacation with its big windows and light-colored interior. Granger is a MUST!
This raw food brunch spot has a constantly changing menu full of innovative, unique dishes with fresh ingredients that they receive daily. The kitchen is open and bursting with brightly-colored ingredients and drool-inducing scents. It’s famous for its raw cakes – the chocolate caramel cake and blueberry cheesecake are highly recommended! The place itself is quite small, so you can also order for delivery.
Nama also offers cooking courses to learn the art of raw food preparation, and they are open to beginners. You can choose from a vast array of courses, from ‘Raw Chocolate at Home’ to ‘Aspiring Raw Chef’ for recipes that are easy to make at home.
This restaurant opened only three months ago, but it’s already gathered a strong following. It boasts a stunning interior with lots of light and lots of plants. It’s vegan but allows you to indulge with its black bean and mushroom burger and ice cream sundaes, guilt-free!
