Your guide to partying in Bangkok

It’s safe to say that every day in Bangkok is a party. With this guide, you'll know where to go each night of the week.

Monday – Khao San Road

If you’re the type to party on a Monday, head over to Khao San Road. Lined with bars after clubs, scattered with street food vendors and magicians, you’re sure to have an interesting night. Start on either end of the street and for 150 Baht ($4), you will get a bucket of your drink of choice. Then, be sure to wander through the other bars. Crowds should be minimal on a Monday – if you go on a weekend, it’ll surely be packed with tourists.

Tuesday – Rooftop Bar

Tuesdays are a great night for a chill rooftop drink-sesh in Bangkok. Famous for its new skyscrapers, sky bars are the best place to grab a drink with a view. Some good spots include: Octave, Above Eleven, and Vertigo. Pro-tip: Sky Bar is the rooftop bar featured in The Hangover 2.

Wednesday – CE LA VI

Formerly known as Ku De Ta, CE LA VI is always a great option to vamp up a boring Wednesday night. They offer free-flow champagne for ladies from 9pm-midnight. Be sure to dress up and expect a classier night.

Thursday- Soi Cowboy

Soi Cowboy’s name doesn’t actually describe the street very well. “Soi” means small alley, but it’s not filled with cowboys. Instead, the street is filled with go-go dancers! This red-light-esque street is always vibrant, busy, and insanely fun.

 Friday and Saturday – Clubs

Clubs are absolutely huge in Bangkok. Owners spare no expense- and clubs are filled with massive chandeliers, outdoor sections, and often have live Thai singers covering American music. Among the best are Levels Club and Lounge, Route 66, RCA Live, and Demo.

Be in the know:

Smoking is pretty much allowed anywhere and everywhere in Bangkok (including inside). When going to a club, be sure to dress on the fancier side- Bangkok clubs are known for turning people away for dressing too casual.
